Learning Enrichment
The College has a range of programs designed to offer support to its students alongside the learning program planned by class teachers. They offer assistance to students with academic extension, remediation or special education needs. Remediation is focused on early intervention approaches such as MULTILIT (Making Up Lost Time in Literacy).
The College’s highly trained Learning Enrichment staff employ research-based approaches to work with students and guide teachers in their support of each child. It is our intention that any extra assistance is linked to the child’s classroom learning. An IP (Individual Plan) will be drafted and implemented for those whose identified needs support this approach. This process may involve drawing together teachers and specialists to partner with families in providing a range of adjustments and/or actions to support the child in their learning.
Students who require additional extension beyond the classroom may receive targeted opportunities to participate in small group programs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and/or HASS (Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences).
