Ngarra Christian College
Ngarra Christian College opened Term 1, 2023 and is a specialised learning environment for Kindergarten to Year 12, located on the 鶹 campus, in the north-west sector of Sydney. Ngarra is a Darug word which translates to ‘together with you,’ which we believe beautifully captures our vision for this school to walk the journey with parents who need a unique learning environment for their child.
Ngarra Christian College embodies the same mission as 鶹 of Building Purposeful Lives; loving God, pursuing purpose, and building capacity. The Ngarra community will be focused upon facilitating great learning, the service of others, and ensuring that each young person experiences loving and caring relationships in a supportive pastoral environment.
In 2024 Ngarra is offering classes for students in Kindy - Year 6, with mild to moderate autistic learning needs, and/or mild to moderate intellectual learning needs. In future years, classes will be added to eventually cater for Kindy - Year 12. Classes will typically consist of around 8 students providing smaller classes, higher teacher to student ratios and specialist teachers, enabling the College to meaningfully effectuate our vision in the lives of these students.
"I'm very grateful that Eddie has the opportunity to attend Ngarra Christian College. I've seen his confidence grow, as he in an environment that nurtures his abilities, cares for his needs and prioritises genuine targeted support. I watch him flourish in many areas that have been challenging to him and know that this is because of the unique learning approaches, and the opportunities provided, by the dedicated teachers and support staff both in the classroom and beyond. As a family we believe that this is best decision that we have made for his education."

Two Schools, One Learning Community
Ngarra Christian College and 鶹 exist as separate educational institutions, intentionally sharing facilities, resources, and learning experiences that will form the basis of rich learning opportunities for all students. We are two schools living together as one learning community.
At Ngarra Christian College we offer educational choices for families whose children have additional learning needs. We have created a learning environment that delivers on our mission to build purposeful lives whilst specifically catering for the unique needs experienced by some students.
Ngarra provides a learning environment and programs designed for flexible approaches that support learner engagement and give access to spaces and practices that consider students' sensory processing needs.
Each student at Ngarra will have an individual education plan and individualised access to the curriculum at a pace that best nurtures the progress of each learner. These plans will be developed in partnership with parents or caregivers and will include both long and short term goals and strategies that will assist in achieving them.
In the secondary years, students will benefit from an approach to careers education that is tailored to students' unique needs and goals. Students will be supported in developing the skills they will need for flourishing in their post-school life. Families and students will receive specialised guidance as they explore the variety of curriculum options available to help students reach their graduation goals.
Ngarra welcomes an Expression of Interest at any time. Simply complete the “Expression of Interest Form” below to share why you are interested in your child attending Ngarra Christian College.
When a vacancy becomes available in Ngarra, the Head of Inclusive Learning will review the Expressions of Interest for that cohort and invite shortlisted families to submit an Application for Enrolment online. Completed applications will be reviewed and assessed by our Enrolment Committee. Please note that following this review, not all applications will progress to the next stage and families will be notified of this at this time. For applications that do progress, the next steps will include an observation of your child in their current school or daycare centre, followed by an Enrolment Interview.
Following the enrolment interview, families will be notified regarding the outcome of their interview. Offers of places occur following an interview where it is identified Ngarra would be a suitable educational environment for the student. If successful in being offered a place at Ngarra, a Letter of Offer will be sent to the family along with an Enrolment Agreement and other required enrolment paperwork to review and complete by an advised date.
Places are secured once the offer paperwork is signed and returned, along with payment of any applicable enrolment fees. The family will then be sent Confirmation of Enrolment correspondence outlining commencement dates, orientation days, uniform fittings, and a welcome pack which will assist your child’s transition into the Ngarra Community.
